About Us
Town of Trees
is an alt-rock band from Nampa, Idaho, built on honesty, grit, and connection.
Formed in 2017 as a folk-inspired project rooted in storytelling, the band found its true sound when lead vocalist Tori Hensley joined. Alongside guitarist Connor Hensley, bassist Michael Van Solen-Morse, and drummer Sam Harmon, Town of Trees has evolved into a driving force of emotionally charged rock.
Their songs dive into the real, everyday struggles of life heartbreak, self-doubt, growth, and redemption. That honesty comes from who they are beyond the stage:
Tori is a softball coach helping young athletes build confidence.
Connor is a firefighter and veteran who’s lived through both chaos and community.
Mike serves in the Army Band.
Sam teaches music to students with special needs.
Those experiences don’t just shape their lives — they shape every lyric, every performance, and every connection they make.
At the center of it all is their faith.
A faith that wrestles with doubt, asks hard questions, and lives in the present
They believe in a God who meets people in the middle of their brokenness,
in grace that covers failure,
and in a love that never leaves no matter how far someone feels from it.
That perspective doesn’t just inspire their music, it grounds it.
It’s where the hope comes from.
It’s why even their darkest songs still point toward light.
Since releasing their debut album Something Pink (2023), Town of Trees has focused on cinematic, story-driven singles like “Here We Go,” “Drowning,” “Happy,” “Selfish,” and “Idiot.” Each release is paired with a music video designed to bring light, perspective, and meaning to their growing community — the TOTS.
At its core, Town of Trees exists for one reason:

Our Music
Our music is a reflection of life — the highs, the heartbreak, and the healing in between. Each song is a snapshot of emotion, drawn from real experiences and shaped by the world around us. Through raw lyrics and powerful melodies, we invite listeners to feel deeply and find their own story within ours.
Looking to the Future
As the band has evolved from its folk origins into its current alt-rock style, the reach of the band has also grown from local Boise venues to numerous festival appearances and now on to broader Northwest regional shows. Check out the events page for upcoming dates and releases!
